Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of tropicalholdings.mv (the “Website”) and to any quotation, purchase order or supply of goods and services by Tropical Holdings Pvt Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of Maldives, with its office at G. Kasthoorige, Alikilegefaanu Magu, Male’, Maldives (“Tropical Holdings”, “we”, “us”). By using the Website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.
1. About our services
We supply operating supplies to hotels and resorts, source products on request, supply electronics and computer networking equipment and services, operate hotels and guest houses, and sell consumer goods by retail and wholesale. Information on the Website is a general description of our services. It is not an offer to sell any specific product at any specific price.
2. Quotations
2.1 Quotations are valid for 14 days from their date unless the quotation states otherwise.
2.2 Prices are in the currency stated on the quotation and, unless stated otherwise, exclude GST, import duties, freight, insurance and delivery to islands outside Male’.
2.3 Sourced and imported items are quoted on the basis of supplier prices, exchange rates and freight costs on the quotation date. If these change materially before you confirm the order, we may revise the quotation and will tell you before proceeding.
3. Orders
3.1 An order becomes binding only when we confirm your purchase order in writing (email is enough).
3.2 Orders for sourced, imported, custom or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once we have placed them with our supplier, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Any deposit paid on such items is non-refundable.
3.3 We may decline any order, for example if goods are unavailable or a price was published in error.
4. Payment
4.1 Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due before dispatch. Account customers we have approved pay within 30 days of the invoice date.
4.2 We may require a deposit before sourcing or importing goods.
4.3 Overdue amounts may lead us to suspend further deliveries until the account is settled.
4.4 Ownership of goods passes to you only once we have received full payment.
5. Delivery
5.1 Delivery dates are estimates. We will keep you informed, but we are not liable for delays caused by suppliers, shipping, customs, weather or other events beyond our control.
5.2 For deliveries to resorts and islands, we deliver to the agreed point in Male’ or hand over to your nominated boat, seaplane or cargo transfer. Risk passes to you at that point.
5.3 Please check goods on delivery and report any shortage or visible damage within 3 working days, with photos where possible.
6. Returns and warranty
6.1 We will repair, replace or refund (at our option) goods that are faulty or not as ordered, if you tell us within 7 days of delivery.
6.2 Electronics and networking equipment carry the manufacturer’s warranty. We will help you claim under it.
6.3 We do not accept returns of goods that were correctly supplied, used, damaged after delivery, or made, sourced or imported to your order, unless we agree in writing.
7. IT and networking services
7.1 The scope, price and timeline of any installation or IT project are those set out in our written proposal or quotation.
7.2 You are responsible for giving us safe access to your site and for keeping your own backups of data before we work on your systems.
7.3 We will carry out the work with reasonable skill and care.
8. Hotel and guest house stays
Bookings at properties we operate are subject to the booking, cancellation and house rules provided at the time of booking.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1 Our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for the goods or services concerned.
9.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, bookings or data.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Maldivian law.
10. Use of the Website
10.1 The text, design, logo and images on the Website belong to Tropical Holdings or its licensors. You may not copy them for commercial use without our permission.
10.2 We try to keep the Website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
10.3 Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
11. Privacy
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on the Website at the time you place an order applies to that order.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. The courts of the Maldives have jurisdiction over any dispute.
